What portion of the excursion cost covers transportation, extra educational support, educational activities, like museum/Zoo entry or guided tours etc.?
Any additional expenses to the base price will be borne by the parents.
Can children bring spending money for souvenirs or snacks during the excursions?
Yes, children can bring pocket money during excursions. However, it is suggested they should not be given more than 10-15 dollars and ideally the educators should be informed so they can support the children wherever required.
How will parents be notified about changes to the excursion schedule or itinerary, especially if last-minute changes are necessary?
The parents will be informed by phone call. If parents cannot be reached via phone then a voice mail or text will be left with relevant information.
If an excursion is cancelled due to low numbers or other unforeseeable reasons, will alternative activities be offered for the children on that day?
Yes. The children will remain at the facility and engage in other activities during the day.
Are there any designated snack times during the excursions, or should children eat throughout the day as needed?
There will be designated times when we will eat as a group.
Will the children be provided snacks?
Yes, the children will be provided snacks at morning break and afternoon break during Holiday Programs. However, they need to carry an allergy-friendly lunch and reusable water bottles.
Are there any specific requirements for clothing?
Children should be equipped with clothing and accessories as per the weather on the day. For example, hats and sunscreen for a nice sunny day, carrying an extra jumper to cater for a sudden change in weather, raincoats/umbrellas for wet weather, closed-toe shoes for outdoor excursions etc.
How will parents be communicated with regarding pick-up times and locations after each excursion?
Parents will be texted the location and pick up times at least 30 minutes in advance.
Can children bring small, quiet activities for travel time between locations on the bus/car during excursions?
Yes.
Can the children bring mobile devices?
No. Children are not permitted to bring mobile devices.
Should personal items be labelled/named?
It is strongly advised to label/mark all personal belongings of your child.
